Another milestone accomplished
May 16, 2008
The ZebraBot crew announced today that a complete new Photo Gallery has been finalized, offering site visitors a deep cultural insight and travel experience. Some of the pictures go back 20 years or longer, showing a much more relaxed and less traffic congested St. Maarten-St. Martin.
Other photographs picture intense vacation pleasure and artist impressions on island values. Photographs are either freeze frames of times and events or interpretations of ideas.
Photography has given us a rather unique and dramatic way, (more so than video) to stop time and remember. Even more so, because photography allows for different interpretations as seen through the eye of the photographer.
The ZebraBOT’s Gallery takes the visitor from the obvious Fun in the Sun pictures, to anything that happens under and on the water, flora, fauna, culture, folklore and art, the experience that is worldfamous airport beach and landing planes, beaches, landscapes, and every day life on the friendly island. The topics are covered by a wide variety of island photographers, but also amateurs with snapshots.
The picture tells the story was a famous music album several decades ago, Canadian band Nickelback wrote and performed a song “Photographs” which opens with the line: “Look at These Photographs, every time I do it makes me laugh“. Great song with a tear and a smile. That’s what ZebraBot wants to accomplish. Pictures that tell a story!
The Photo Gallery can be found under PHOTOS in the center of the main navigation. If you have photos you would like to be featured on the ZebraBot Photo Gallery, drop us an email*. Who knows, we may even retain you for specific documentaries we have in mind for the near future.
*Please keep the photo file upload under 10mb per e-mail and do specify description and copyright notice (to whom the picture(s) belongs to).
