Birthday card for Mandela

The public of St. Maarten- Saint Martin will be given the opportunity to wish Nelson Mandela a happy birthday, when a delegation of 60 people visit South Africa this week.A birthday card congratulating Nelson Mandela on his ninetieth birthday will be available for signing at the University of St. Martin (USM), on Tuesday, July 1, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The card will be delivered to Mandela by members of the Conscious Lyrics Foundation (CLF) who will be visiting Africa July 3-17.
Some 60 persons are part of the team visiting Africa as part of St. Maarten’s 160th Anniversary of Emancipation. They will explore the historical and cultural sites in Cape Town, KwaZulu-Natal, Johannesburg, Durban, Kimberly, Soweto, the Apartheid Museum, Robben Island Museum and a Hluhluwe Safari.
Nelson Mandela will be celebrating his 90th birthday on July 18. The over-sized card “on behalf of the people of St. Maarten” has a flamboyant tree in the background and reads:
Happy Birthday Nelson Mandela. Of the power knowledge brings. Of the knowledge struggle brings. Of the victories collectivity brings.
