Country status preparations on-going

17-Jul-08. On Tuesday, the Executive Council of St. Maarten approved the organization plans for various ministries as it continues to prepare for its country status.
The plans in question consist of the detailing the departments and their respective functions per Ministry.
“Once we have the organizational plans of all seven of them, they will be presented to the Island Council” stated Constitutional Commissioner Sarah Wescot-Williams.
Those ministries approved on Tuesday are education, culture and sports and economic affairs.
