St. Maarten and Saint Martin Weather

Hurricane Dolly (now TS), made landfall some 50 miles north of Brownsville and is dumping torrential rains in the area. flooding is extensive while the wind impact has been minimal. Another area of disturbance needs to be monitored some 800 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands that has a potential of development and may reach the general Caribbean Basin mid next week.

July 24, 2008 Today: Variable clouds with a scattered shower but mostly sunny during the day. High 88F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Low 79F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Tomorrow: Rain showers in the morning becoming more widely scattered in the afternoon. High 88F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Tomorrow night: Partly to mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible. Low 79F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a cloud here and there, chance of showers late. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 70s.

Sunday: Scattered showers. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 70s.
