St. Maarten and Saint Martin Weather

We are in for a rocky weather ride today. TS Hanna’s tail is going to smack us right in the face over the next 12-15 hrs (unless it retracts its “tail”). Hanna is forecasted to become a hurricane over the next day or so while it is moving away to the northwest at 7 miles. TS Gustav is battering Jamaica and is expected to move back over open waters and also intensify again to hurricane status today.

Tonight: Variable clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Low 79F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers. High 87F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Tomorrow night: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Low 79F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, chance of showers. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the low 80s.

Special Features: TS Hanna is growing very rapidly in size and if this continues today we will see a long rainy and thunder “infested” day. Be cautious on the road and on the water since a flash flood warning and a small craft advisory is posted.
