TS Hanna is moving away from St. Maarten and left about 2 inches of rain. We still may see a shower here and there but mostly the sun will dry-up the Island. Hurricane Gustav is strengthening and battering the Cayman Islands before moving into the Gulf.
August 30, 2008 - Today: Mostly sunny with scattered clouds and scattered showers possible. High 86F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
Tonight: Variable clouds with scattered showers. Low near 80F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny and warm. Some clouds with some scattered showers possible in the afternoon. High 87F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
Tomorrow night: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Low 79F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
Monday: Chance of afternoon showers. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 70s.
Tuesday: Scattered thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 70s.
Special Features: A low with thunderstorm activity near the Cape verde islands shows potential of becoming a depression. This large area needs monitoring in the next couple of days on its Atlantic crossing.
