A strong cluster of thunderstorms some 650 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands needs some monitoring by St. Maarten. The potential of development is likely. Meanwhile Hurricane Gustav is on its way to New Orleans, Louisiana with either direct or almost direct aim at the city that was distroyed by hurricane Katrina 3 years ago.

Tonight: Rain showers in the evening becoming more intermittent overnight. Low 78F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.
Tomorrow: Cloudy with occasional rain showers. High 86F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Tomorrow night: Partly to mostly cloudy and a scattered shower possible. Low 79F. Winds variable and light. Chance of rain 30%.
Wednesday: Chance of showers. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 80s.
Thursday: Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the low 80s.
