Weather St. Maarten September 8, 2008
September 8, 2008

A couple of thunderstorms may move over St. Maarten early this morning until about midday clearing to mostly sunny skies while a scattered thunderstorm or shower is still possible later in the day. People in the Turk and Caicos Islands and Cuba in the next coming hours are not as fortunate. 80% of the homes on the Turk Islands are destroyed and Ike is not done yet. It just moved onshore in Cuba but it is likely that it will skirt the coastline for a while before moving inland. This may make Ike extremely dangerous as weakening may be very slow to occur before heading into the Florida Keys and Gulf of Mexico.
