Graduate of Pratt Institute School of Art, Lynn also attended Brooklyn Museum Art School, and the National Academy of Design.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Lynn was a painter and an interior designer in New York City until 1976.
PORTRAIT OF THE ARTIST:
Gloria Lynn has been living and painting on French St. Martin since 1976, and on the island of Saba since 1984. Lynn specialized in painting the local market people. Her original paintings are on exhibition in private collections worldwide, at the Lynn Gallery in Saba and at the Lynn Studio, a charming roadside Creole cottage home in the heart of Grand Case, that she mans with her husband of 58 years, Marty. Gloria’s two sons Robert and Peter are also very talented artists in their own right as is her husband Marty who is also a renowned sculptor. The family’s shared artistic theme is island life and island sociology.
