Paul Elliott
Born: Denis Thuleau. December 9, 1960. Angers, France.
Living on St. Martin, French West Indies.
EDUCATION:
After finishing high school, he spends two years at the Architectural School of Paris UP9. In 1979, he decides to become a painter. He leaves France to travel to Rome Athens and Crete and in 1981 returns to Paris to attend the Goetz Academy, studying drawing, painting and engraving.
WORK:
1990-1991 Assistant decorator for French films. Leaves for Japon.
1987-1989 Assistant decorator for Sisheido advertising. Settles in N.Y. Assistant to sculptor Mihai Popa.
1984-1986 Decorator for la Compagnie de Danse Valérie Armande. Assistant to painter Paul Lemercier.
1981-1983 Copper plate engraver at l’Atelier Pasnic where he worked mainly the carborendum
technique with Goetz, Coignard and Papart .
